Coping through the Pandemic: Supporting Children’s Mental Health in Emergencies
Emergencies, such as COVID-19, have a significant impact on children's mental health and well-being. UNICEF works every day to provide support to millions of children who have suffered unthinkable distress due to armed conflict, natural disasters and other humanitarian emergencies. Join us to learn how UNICEF is supporting children's mental health by ensuring access to critical services and strengthening the resilience of children and their families to cope with adversity during and after a crisis.

UNICEF USA is committed to actively safeguarding children from harm and to ensuring that every child’s rights are fully realized when participating in our work, including activities related to UNICEF UNITE like virtual meetings and events. This commitment requires that UNICEF USA always put the best interest of the child first and abide by specific requirements to safeguard children. Regardless of age, please help us make this an inclusive space where everyone is welcome and feels safe to speak up, should they choose to. Respect for diverse perspectives and the empowerment of young people are core values of UNICEF USA and we hope to embody that spirit in all events we hold, including in the virtual space.
